About the Rally Pals:
The "Rally Pals" is an informal group of individuals who enjoy practicing Rally Obedience together. It evolved from just a few teams that met on a regular basis - from about three or four original teams - to now a group of about 20 teams, give or take a few. Some of the original teams include Rachel Williams, Carla Bunkleman, Terri Pope, Carol Crean and Helen Dohrmannn. Participation in Rally Pals practices are open to everyone, whether competing for titles or practicing rally for fun! Most of the year, since we are in wet, rainy, green Washington State, practices take place at Paws-Abilities, located in Tukwila, WA - Larry and Dana were willing to give Rally practices a try, and they took off after about a year and half, with gusto. Shortly after that, formal rally classes were established and take place on a regular basis. For a few weeks during summer when the weather is spectacular, we head outdoors to a local park to practice. The teams that come to practice are varied in age and breeds and skill levels. We have / have had the following breeds come practice with us: Field Spaniel, Australian Shepherd, Basenji, Papillon, English Cocker Spaniel, Doberman, Welsh Springer Spaniel, Smooth Fox Terrier, Labrador, Golden Retriever, and Border Collie, to name a few - and the all-American dogs, who come practice with us. The Rally Pals were given this page to showcase their efforts - they've all done a wonderful job! |
