Puget Sound Rally Pals – Practice Sign-Up Procedure How to Use the Database Tables to Sign Up for Practice (11/06)
1 - Open your browser and key in: http://www.yahoogroups.com 2 - At the top of the page, click on "Sign In" (if you don't have an account on yahoogroups, you'll need to create one where it says "sign up" , 3 - Log in -- using your Yahoo ID and Password that you created 4 - A listing of your groups should appear on the left side. Find the one called, "PSRallyPals", and click on that word OR click on New Databases (New Databases is right under the PSRallyPals title.)
Now that you're in the Database: a - select the practice date & type you want, either rally practice or obedience. A multi-level rally course is set up. Obed has specific levels at pre-determined times. If a Novice Obed slot at 6:45 for example, is not taken, and you need Open or Utility, just mark your name/dog’s name/level in the reservation. (You’ll then be shuffled to be in line with the same level – in other words, all Utility runs will go in sequence, then Open runs, then Novice runs). b - once the selected table is open, you'll see who has signed up and available 'spots'. 3 teams per time slot for Rally, 1 team per slot for Obed c - there are two ways to add your name to a time slot. - either click "edit" under actions, which will open that particular line of signups. this brings up a listing by time with filled times and open times. Simply type in your name, dog's name, jump height, Then click "Save Record", which saves your slot.
- the second way, if there are no records to edit and add yourself to, is to click on "Add Record". This brings up a completely blank set of timeslots, to select your time slot from. Add your name, dog's names, jump height, then click "Add Record" to save your slot.
If you're not entirely certain, use the second way, so other reservations won't be lost.
Deleting Your Reservation:
a – select the database table for the date you’re signed up b - to the right of the participants, you’ll see “edit” or “delete” --- CHOOSE EDIT c- this brings up a listing with times and names – erase your reservation by clicking near your name, and backspacing it out d – Click on “Save Record” e - Your reservation should now be deleted from the table. |
