Rally Supplies - Where to find them
Debbie Addicoat has wonderful, laminated signs available. Debbie is 'local' to the Seattle area, living in Carnation, WA. Buying a set of signs from Debbie is cheaper than printing your own and having an office supply store laminate them for you. Debbie's Rally Price List The Full Set This full set includes the original 50 rally signs plus the 10 duplicate signs that can be used multiple times on a course. This set also includes one 8 ½ by 11 and one 5 ½ by 8 ½ 4 page description booklet that explains and illustrates each sign. Each rally sign is printed on a heavy white card stock and is laminated with 7 mil sheets. The description booklets are also laminated (see description below).
The Plain Set This plain set includes the original 50 rally signs plus the 10 duplicate signs that can be used multiple times on a course. This set also includes your choice of an 8 ½ by 11 or 5 ½ by 8-½ 4-page description booklet that explains and illustrates each sign. Each rally sign is printed on a heavy white card stock and is NOT laminated. I strongly suggest that you either laminate or sheet protect these pages. The description booklet that you choose is laminated (see description below).
Description Pages These 4-page description booklets come in two sizes 8 ½ by 11 or 5 ½ by 8 ½) and explains and illustrates each of the 50 rally signs. The pages are printed on a heavy white card stock and are laminated. The pages are printed duplex (both sides) and secured with a plastic tie that allows you to flip from page to page easily keeping everything secure and organized.
Rally Magnets 70 one inch squares of laminated rally signs. These small signs have magnets attached on the back of each square. All you need is a cookie sheet or a magnetized surface. With plenty of extra signs that can be used more that once, building courses becomes easy and fun. Included is a 5-1/2 by 8-1/2 rally description page.
AKC Open and Utility Cards Six laminated 3 ½ x 4 inch cards with the six different order of exercises for Open B and Utility B. Each exercise is followed by a description of command and/or signal. The cards are printed duplex (both sides) and secured with a plastic tie that allows you to flip from card to card easily keeping everything secure and organized.

Cones - for the Spirals, Serpentines & Offset Figure 8 exercises: I buy mine at the local dollar stores in the spring. They're about 8" high, orange in color, and cheap: 4 in a package for $1.00. Otherwise, check Wal-Mart in the toys/sporting goods for soccer cones. Sign Holders -- again, for an inexpensive 'set', check the local dollar stores for plate holders! $1.00/each. Wreath holders (sometimes available for zero cost) can be sometimes be obtained from cemetaries. Alternatively, you can buy enough cones to put velcro on them, and velcro on the back of your signs. Or, buy the sign holders from J & J Dog (www.jjdog.com). Food containers for the Offset Figure 8 exercise: I have a couple plastic butter tubs, with holes punches in the lids to use, and I've also saved a clear berry container - it lots of holes in it to allow the smell of whatever is inside to tempt the dogs. I've also used uncovered stainless dishes to tempt the dogs. For a complete rally set (signs, numbers, holders), J&J Dog offers them. JUMPS: the nicest lightweight, portable jumps I have found (and I have two sets) are from Jaegar Jumps. |
